Horizontal and Inclined Scalpers/Feeders

Holland & Fils (ROCA) vibrating grizzly feeders are designed mainly for fixed primary crushing plants.

They regulate the feed rate to the crusher by separating materials by size, removing uncrushable material, and sorting out the smallest material so as to maximize the crushing capacity of the crusher.

The vibration unit is composed of two vibrators located underneath the unit.

They create a linear vibrating motion with an incline of 45° to the horizontal frame of the feeder (depending on the installation).

Main features:

1. A wear-resistant electrode extends the life of the feeder.
2. The design of the rods allows them to spread make it easier to remove blockages and to maximize size-based sorting.
3. Four sets of springs or rubber mounts support the feeder to better stabilize it during operation.
4. Feed rate can be controlled remotely thanks to the variable speed motor. .

Just like the inclined feeders, Holland & Fils horizontal vibrating grizzly feeders are designed to regulate the rate of feed to the crusher by separating the materials by size, removing uncrushable material, and sorting out the smallest material so as to maximize the crushing capacity of the crusher.
However, horizontal vibrating grizzly feeders are longer and have a lower profile.
They are generally used for mobile crushing applications.
The vibration unit consists of two unbalanced, counter-rotating shafts.
They generate an elliptical motion, throwing materials upward and forward with a continuous turning action.
The timing gears can be adjusted to control the angle of throw and the intensity of vibration.

Other features:

1. The feeder is mounted on springs to allow free vibration and absorb shock loads.
2. The bolted grizzly bars are adjustable and can be spread to suit user requirements in the field.
3. Grizzly bars are tapered to prevent binding and allow materials of acceptable size to pass through.
4. Feed rate can be adjusted with variable-speed motor.
